Dec 1, 2025 | Uncategorized

Celebrating the Heartbeat of California Care Recovery

At California Care Recovery, our employees aren’t just part of the work — you are the work. Every day, our teams show up with compassion, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to the people we serve. You are the heartbeat of California Care, and we’re proud to shine a light on the staff who go above and beyond for their clients, teammates, and communities.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote and share kind words about your colleagues. Reading your nominations was a reminder of how strong, supportive, and mission-driven our team truly is.

Why Recovery Staff Matter So Much

Recovery doesn’t happen in a vacuum — it happens in relationships, daily routines, consistent support, and the steady presence of people who truly care. That’s why pivotal recovery staff are essential to everything we do.

Whether you’re guiding clients through a difficult moment, modeling healthy boundaries, keeping the environment safe and welcoming, or simply showing up with patience and consistency, your role creates the foundation for healing. The work can be demanding, and often unseen — but its impact is lasting. We’re deeply grateful for the way our teams lift up clients and each other every single day.

California Care Mental Health Residential Program Employee of the Month: Hayley Montes

Hayley has been a steady, positive force within our Mental Health Residential Program — especially during a time of transition and growth. Her teammates shared how much they appreciate the way she steps up, supports others, and keeps client care at the center of everything she does.

A few things her colleagues said:

  • “She has been a huge help in my transition to mental health, helping train me in my position at the same time as tackling case management duties. All while maintaining a positive attitude and a welcoming atmosphere for our patients, going above and beyond for client needs.”
  • “For being the lead and managing and taking care of clients and staff.”
  • “She did exceptionally well at improving the house.”
  • “She has been so flexible stepping into whatever role she’s needed in. She puts patient care first and serves as a great example of boundaries and professionalism.”
  • “She’s the best.”
  • “Has done a great job transitioning back into the CM role and she’s always so helpful to staff and patients.”

Hayley, thank you for your dedication and for consistently setting the standard for patient-first care. We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re lucky to have you on the team.

California Care Substance Use Detox & Residential Program Employee of the Month: Karly Brumbaugh

Karly’s impact within our Substance Use Detox & Residential Program is felt by both staff and patients alike. Her teammates highlighted not only her reliability and skill, but also the heart she brings into every interaction.

A few things her colleagues said:

  • “She consistently goes above and beyond, not only making sure every task is handled, but also taking the time to genuinely interact with patients and support them with me.”
  • “Karly’s dedication makes a real difference for both staff and patients, and she truly deserves recognition. Not just doing our normal tasks, but actually coming down with me and having meaningful and helpful conversations with patients.”
  • “Karly is a team player and really knows what she’s doing! She does every intake meticulously and by the book and is great at staying calm and time managing during busier shifts.”
  • “She goes beyond for her job and makes sure everyone is welcome (staff and patients).”
  • “Always on top of everything and willing to do the most!”
  • “She keeps a positive attitude and is great with the patients.”

Karly, thank you for being such a strong, steady presence and for bringing excellence and empathy to everything you do. Your work matters, and we’re proud to celebrate you.

This is truly the only residential treatment center that I actually felt a part of the family and I've been to over 10 places. They made me feel welcome from the start and the staff is loving and caring. I couldn't ask for a better experience and I would give it a chance if you want to stay sober. This is the best place to be if you really want this. Peace & love<3

California Care provided excellent service. The team helped me navigate through the treatment process when my husband needed help. They communicated with me throughout the entire process which gave me peace of mind during a scary and stressful time for my family. They took our insurance and made the process as easy as possible. I have nothing but good things to say about California Care.

Look no further, this recovery program is the best! Jason, Holly, Myles and staff make the experience as good as it gets. In terms of treatment, California Care is, hands down, the best in the business.

Best treatment center ever I have never worked in a better sober environment in my life. My co-workers and boss are the most caring and compassionate people I’ve ever worked around! ❤️‍🔥☺️

My experience here was a good one, the detox house was modern and comfortable, the staff is nice and genuinely interested in the success of their clients, and the outings/activities are better than other detoxes like going to the movies, beach outings, and AA, NA, and CA meetings regularly. My only complaint is that in my experience some of the outings were unprepared prior which lead to some improvising and running in circles

This is a review from a mothers perspective regarding California Care. They have been absolutely phenomenal to work with regarding my sons care and have worked tirelessly to get insurance to cover the treatment deemed necessary for his success in recovery. Hollly provided me with updates every step of the way and it never felt like I was "bothering" them. Thank you Holly for being on our team when the world of insurance was fighting against us. Prior to California Care, when looking at facilities to treat my son, I was distracted by the location and the facility pictures. Please don't make the same mistake I did and get it right the first time. This is one of the places that even my son has agreed with me that the staff are very caring and very nice. He actually likes them and wanted to do residential. Any mothers in my situation would know that this is a sign of hope or the right place. I just happen to think this is both and the turning point. To the people and staff at CCR - Keep doing what you are doing. You are giving people not only a chance but hope. I cannot thank you enough. To Jason, they owner, CCR is not like the others... stay that way.

I can’t say enough great things about California Care. I came in here completely broken. They take great care of you in the detox process and have beautiful, clean facilities. During residential, you’ll learn about the disease, ways to cope, get taken to meetings, fed great meals and how to live a life of sobriety. The staff is outstanding. I owe a lot to California Care. Thank you!
