Lack Of Power
Lack of power is our dilemma. It is hard at times to admit that we are truly powerless over people, places, and things. The idea that the people, places, and things in our life that bring us so much joy can bring so much pain. They say acceptance is the answer. This is not an easy concept in itself at times, especially when we want or think we need something or feel we deserve something.
How do we get through moments in life that feel impossible to change or get through? This is where faith steps in, faith that when one door closes another will open, faith that we have the ability, the power to change the way we navigate through these times. Make no mistake this is not an easy task, however, it is key to travel through these times, these moments in our life that feel impossible.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
